When uncle set me spinning
Dance till you drop is the normal rather than being an exception! And In Medellin, a Wednesday is as (if not more) happening than a weekend. They live for everyday, not just the weekend :)
Salserias or social dances are a regular feature, (@sonhavana hosts the best ones) and those who come for them are the regulars too!
The uncle featured here comes every Wednesday and doesn't stop dancing even for a minute. He is very subtle with his own movements but knows exactly what to do..
Sometimes there is no place to dance and people wait for people to come off the floor so they can make space. But it's a skill to dance in a limited space - you have to be swift, take small steps and try variations within your territory if you care for your feet and want to avoid banging into the chairs or worse stepping on someone (no doubt quite difficult for people like me)
The whole space is charged and comes alive though and people's joyful faces are a treat to watch! Even if you are not into dancing just going there and seeing the pros is amazing as is being entertained watching people like me fumbling around trying to find their footing :p
So love your experiences ♥️
